Every VisualBeats release, newest first, in plain language. Updates are included with every plan.

Free, Standard and Pro, and a vertical sample

  • Plans: Free, Standard and Pro. Free lets you try everything (720p with a small watermark, videos up to 15 minutes). Standard is for one channel: 1080p, landscape 16:9, videos up to 15 minutes, one Channel Profile, one language per project, one render at a time. Pro has it all: 4K, vertical Reels / Shorts, any length, unlimited Channel Profiles, language versions, the render queue and film overlays. A gold Pro badge marks what Pro adds, and Help explains every plan. See the plans.
  • A second sample project: "The 3-Second Money Rule", a vertical 9:16 Short, next to the 16:9 "Bread Is Older Than Farming" sample.
  • Your logo in the preview: the channel logo now shows in the preview exactly where it lands in the video, and Branding shows the logo itself.
  • Disk space check: before a render starts, VisualBeats checks there is room for the video and its working files, and puts the working files on the drive with the most space. If a drive fills up anyway, the render stops cleanly with a plain message and nothing half-finished is left behind.
  • Downloads that don't give up: the installer and in-app updates continue where they stopped after a dropped connection, instead of starting over.
  • "Channel presets" are now called Channel Profiles.
  • Fixed: an export with an intro or outro to a folder on another drive (for example D:) could fail; spoken percentages show as "8%" in captions, and "Clean words" no longer removes the % sign; in the preview, the picture changes exactly on its cut (it could be up to a quarter second late); a project file can no longer be damaged by a crash or a full disk while it is being saved.
5.0.1

Numbers as digits in captions

  • Spoken numbers show as numerals in captions: "thirteen forty-eight" becomes 1348, "forty days" becomes 40 days. Ordinals and fractions stay words ("the third", "one third"). Works for English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish and Italian; switch it off under Captions → Settings. Only the captions change: the voiceover and its timing stay exactly the same.
  • Check now is always in the license panel, and the app re-checks your license when it starts (if the last check was more than an hour ago), so a purchase or an upgrade shows up straight away.
  • Fixed: the "Update ready" message shows up reliably when a new version is out (in 5.0.0 it sometimes didn't appear; Settings → About → Check for updates always worked).
  • After an update the screen always belongs to the new version, and Settings → About shows the app and screen version. Update downloads can never be served stale from a cache.
5.0.0

The biggest update so far

  • Your projects from 4.0 open as they are, and existing licenses keep working.
  • Video clips and pictures together: every scene can use a picture or a video clip. Clips are trimmed, slowed or held to fit their scene, and you can keep their sound.
  • Edit the timeline: drag a cut to move it (it snaps to the spoken words), split a scene, merge two scenes, undo and redo. The voiceover waveform shows under the scenes.
  • Scripts your way: Script Pro storyboards in any of its 75 languages, a plain script (VisualBeats makes the scenes), or no script at all (Auto-Beat makes the scenes from the voiceover).
  • Language versions: several voiceovers of the same video (for example Japanese, English and German), each timed to its own voice and exported as its own file.
  • English guide lines: scenes in another language get an English translation to help you check them. Offline, and never shown in the video.
  • Smart Match: pictures and clips are matched to their scenes automatically, even when the file names don't say which scene they belong to.
  • Quality check before you export: pictures that don't fit their scene, duplicates, pictures that are too small for 4K, heavy cropping and text inside pictures. It never blocks an export.
  • 20 caption styles (10 new: Punch Pop, Bounce Burst, Karaoke Line, Word Pop, Pill Highlight, Clean Box, Doc Lower-Third, Soft Glow, Typewriter, Stacked Impact) with options: uppercase, words per line, highlighted key words and safe-zone positions for Shorts and Reels. "Clean words" removes punctuation from captions.
  • Captions in more languages: Arabic, Urdu, Persian and Hebrew (right to left, in the right order), Hindi, Bengali, Thai, Japanese and all Latin-script languages. What you see in the preview is what you get.
  • Transitions (crossfade, dip to black, flash, slide, whip, random mix), sound effects on the cuts and film overlays (grain, dust, vignette, paper, light leaks, bokeh, or your own files).
  • Better sound: the music ducks under the voice, fades in and out, and every video is levelled to the loudness YouTube and social apps expect. Background music is a clear On / Off switch (off in a new project), and the Export page shows whether the video will have music.
  • Render queue: line up several videos and let them render one after another, and optionally shut the PC down when done.
  • Channel presets (now called Channel Profiles): save your look (captions, motion, transitions, music, logo, intro and outro) and reuse it.
  • VisualBeats Free: free forever with just an e-mail address, 720p exports with a small watermark.
  • A ready-made sample project and a short tour the first time you open VisualBeats. Help is rewritten.
  • More accurate voice timing: choose Small, Medium or Large v3 Turbo under Settings → Voice sync accuracy.
  • Fixed: captions in the preview were bigger than in the exported video (now the same size); cuts land on the spoken word more precisely, especially with ElevenLabs voiceovers, and Japanese, Chinese and Thai voiceovers are timed correctly; style menus sometimes kept showing the old choice, and help tips could be cut off at the window edge.
  • Fixed: an Arabic storyboard PDF could lose its Arabic text without a warning (you now get a clear message and the matching text file is suggested); updates can no longer get stuck on "Preparing…", work when VisualBeats is installed in a protected folder, and no longer leave a temporary folder behind.
4.0.7

Faster exports

  • Faster export: a new one-pass render engine for Zoom effects, with Intel Quick Sync / AMD GPU support.
  • Fixed: PNG pictures showed the wrong image in Static exports when a folder mixed PNG and JPEG.

Standard and Pro are one-time payments, and the updates we release are included.
